Bolivian Pacamara is one of the most exclusive specialty coffee varieties available today. Produced in limited quantities by dedicated family farmers in Caranavi, Bolivia, this premium Arabica coffee is cultivated at elevations between 1,700 and 1,800 meters above sea level, where the cool mountain climate allows the coffee cherries to mature slowly and develop exceptional sweetness, complexity and balance.
The fertile volcanic soils, subtropical mountain climate and traditional farming practices of the Yungas region create ideal conditions for producing coffees with remarkable cup quality. Every harvest is carefully hand-selected and naturally processed using raised African drying beds, preserving the coffee's vibrant fruit character and delicate floral aromas.
Pacamara is highly appreciated by specialty coffee roasters worldwide for its exceptionally large beans, elegant flavour profile and outstanding roasting performance. Its complex cup delivers notes of tropical fruits, peach, apricot, red berries, honey, caramel and chocolate, complemented by juicy citrus acidity, a silky body and a long, refined finish.
The name Pacamara comes from combining two remarkable Arabica coffee varieties. Click each variety to learn more.
A natural dwarf mutation of the Bourbon variety discovered in El Salvador in 1949. Pacas is known for its compact growth, excellent productivity and outstanding cup potential.
A mutation of the Typica variety originally discovered in Maragogipe, Bahia, Brazil. It is famous for producing exceptionally large coffee beans, commonly known as Elephant Beans.
Pacamara was developed during the 1950s by the Salvadoran Institute for Coffee Research (ISIC). The breeding program aimed to combine the best characteristics of both parent varieties, producing a coffee with excellent agronomic performance and exceptional sensory quality.
Today, Pacamara is recognized as one of the world's finest specialty coffee varieties, valued by professional roasters for its consistency, complexity and distinctive flavour profile.
Grown exclusively in the high-altitude mountains of Caranavi, Bolivia, this coffee reflects the dedication of small family producers committed to sustainable agriculture and meticulous quality control. Every lot is carefully processed to preserve its natural characteristics and guarantee traceability from farm to export.
With its elegant balance, vibrant fruit notes, floral aromas and remarkable sweetness, Bolivian Pacamara offers a unique single-origin coffee experience for specialty coffee professionals seeking premium quality and exceptional consistency.
